Ossé

 

The name of the town comes from the Gallo-Roman noun ''occius''.
The Ossé lord's house was ''Le Plessis '' a defensive place and depended on ''Châteaugiron Barony''. The church of Saint-Sulpice dates from the 16th and 17th centuries. Its houses two beautiful altars. In the South of the town the old country road : Les Saulniers.
In December 2009, a sepulcher from the Merovingian era which contained human bones was discovered.
