| The legend of Domloup | | Domloup in 5th century is flooded in the heart of vast one and dense forest populated with wolves … Animals provok the terror and destroy whoever dare to approach it. In the same period, the armies of Saint wolf, with in the head, the bishop of Troyes, pursue Huns. One day of big drought, the men suffer from an intense thirst. It is then that the bishop strikes the ground of several blows with a stick until springs a spring of running water (on the current locality The Fountain Saint wolf). The bishop decided then that no wolf could live around this spring which becomes the domain Holy Wolf (Domnus Lupus) which will give its name to the city of Domloup. | | For more information: consult the guides of the heritage (flyers free or paying guide) in the Office of Tourism | |
